In 1977 the Spruce Grove Kinsmen club took on the major undertaking of producing, (out of an area of swamp and what was considered useless land) a recreation area known as Participark. The project grew to 6176 hours of volunteer labour, $35,589.97 in cash, and almost $30,000.00 of donated material and equipment. The Kinette also started on their Golden Age Club Drop in Center project around that time.
St. Andrew's original location had been sold to the credit union and the little church came close to being slated for demolition. The Kinette club had the building moved to its present location at 455 King Street on the East Side of Participark. The building was refurbished with a great deal of volunteer help and became the Golden Age Club Drop in Center.
Over the years the Golden Age Club outgrew the little church which then became the 'Little Church Gallery' section of the Kin Arts Center.
At the present time (April, 2005) there is some concern about the buildings integrity as it is situated on pilings driven into the bog and moisture has caused a lot of problems. The little church is not on its original location so does not qualify an historic site so its future is unclear.
Regretably, due to mould and other problems in the building, the little church was demolished in 2008.
